Why country-market fares differ
Airlines respond to local competition, demand, currency, distribution agreements, and point-of-sale strategy. A route priced at a premium in one market may be discounted in another because the carrier is competing for customers there.
This is also why generic advice such as “always book on Tuesday” is unreliable. Market context can matter more than weekday timing. The spread may be negligible on one route and large enough to change the trip budget on another.
What a valid comparison includes
Match the dates, flight numbers, cabin, fare family, passenger count, and baggage. Then compare the final amount in one reference currency. A lower headline fare can be erased by conversion spreads, foreign transaction fees, or a less flexible ticket.
